CLASS DESCRIPTION
GROUP OR PRIVATE VOICE & PIANO LESSONS
Designed for students 4yrs old & up
Everyone is able to learn how to sing and play piano! The real goal is to learn to enjoy the process of growing as a musician and be able to apply the skills learned in this class towards any subject.
Classes are taught through musical play and a variety of teaching styles. These classes are very successful in small group sessions since students complement each other's musical growth as they explore this new journey together!
TUITIOn
60 Minute Group Class/30 Minute Private Lesson
FIRST I invite you to schedule a 30 Minute Complimentary Trial Lesson.
We will sing & play for a few minutes then discuss what format would benefit you and your family the most!
THEN We schedule four lessons at your convenience and format preference.
My recommendation is to schedule 4 lessons once a week.
This way, after these four once-a-week lessons, we can see some fun progress and ask the student if this is something they would like to pursue!
Tuition: $184
Materials fee ($10) & processing fee (2.9%+ .30 cents) are included in tuition.
AFTER THE FIRST FOUR LESSONS We can then schedule consecutive one-on-one lessons or begin a group class!
Group & 30 min private lessons have the same rate ($43.75 per class) to allow flexibility for each student as their musical growth develops. One Materials fee ($30) will be included in tuition each season (Spring/Summer/Fall/Winter).
You may also book individual lessons per availability here.
When registering for stand-alone lessons, materials will not be included, meaning that music & resources must be purchased separately.

MAKE UP LESSONS Class cancellations are reserved for sickness and emergencies. A 24-hour notice of cancellation is required in order to be granted the make-up lesson or to receive credit for one future lesson. Please notify teacher of the schedule change for class not to be charged. If teacher must reschedule, you will be notified in advance and lesson will be arranged at your convenience.
For any other rescheduling needs due to personal schedule changes (ex. work trip/scheduled trips/friends&family reunions), lesson may be rescheduled at the teacher's schedule availability if notified 72 hrs in advance to avoid any charges.
TARDINESS (it happens!) In case of tardiness please know that the class will finish at the same scheduled time.
TOO EARLY Please feel free to come in and relax in the lobby.
PHOTOGRAPHY We will seek your permission before sharing any occasional picture/video taken by the studio that could be used to inspire new families and encourage early childhood music education in our community.
PARENT PARTICIPATION/PICK UP TIME Parents are encouraged to plan to participate as an audience member or become a student the last 2 minutes of class as a way to review materials with student & teacher and give confidence to the child.
HOME PRACTICE This is the moment for you to shine as a family! Students & parents are expected to be prepared at each lesson with the material they were assigned the previous lesson. Encouraged daily practicing time: 15 min adults, 2-10 min children. It is more beneficial to do a 1-3x time run-through of the song than forcing a child to sit unwillingly doing repetitive work. Make it fun and easy for all!
Tips:
- Place the keyboard/piano in a nearby place where a parent can collaborate while doing a daily house activity, like cooking/laundry.
- Parent plays the song once and student follows 1 to 3 times. Sing along, make-up words/melody, be silly!
- Practice being an audience member by creating an audience or stage with favorite their toys and perform for them!
- If siblings are around please encourage them to wait their turn too and teach them to become active audience members during that 1-3x practice time. When it is their turn, use this time to guide them too! They also want to learn!
- If student would like more privacy as the musical interest grows, consider getting headphones for the keyboard or arrange a quiet activity as a family to do while listening in the background. (like: painting/reading)
Most importantly, if student is not interested, avoid forcing it! Interest will develop as child continues the musical exposure!
